Werner-Schiffer FamilyRachel brought then five-year-old Ethan to The Club to celebrate his buddies birthday party. Upon visiting the Aspen Hill Club, she was in awe! Membership Director Eric Suchinsky, offered to give Rachel a tour. Up until her visit, the family had memberships to two health clubs—one to make sure that Rachel got her fitness classes and another to ensure that Jeremy had access to an indoor pool. What they were missing was the family atmosphere that had fun for their two little ones. With the fun that Ethan had at The Club for the party, Rachel knew that one Club had everything she was looking for!

When Rachel and Ethan returned home, she couldn’t wait to share her new discovery with Jeremy. What sparked Jeremy’s immediate interest was the heated indoor pool. Rachel knew she was going to make great use of the yoga, Pilates, and the large gym. Fast forward two years later, and Rachel is a frequent attendee of Brian’s Boot Camp, Spirit’s yoga, and Cardio Attack with Greg. Rachel has also started playing tennis with Jeff Klein in his Adult Beginner Drills.

Jeremy and Rachel originally joined the Club as Congressional members and were not involved in tennis. But that changed one day when six-year-old Ethan tried “Young Stars” with Coach Julien. Ethan tried the class the first day, and signed up immediately after, and been hooked on tennis ever since! “Julien’s relentlessly positive energy makes it so fun for the kids,” explains Jeremy.

With Ethan hooked on tennis, Jeremy decided to give tennis a go, “I always loved tennis, but didn’t have opportunities to play.”
Jeremy first got back onto the court by attending a holiday social party, and he had a great time. His first program was Monday Night Men’s Singles Match Play, and now Jeremy is involved with tennis several days a week at The Club. He has recently attended monthly Hot Shot class, Doubles Frenzy, Ilan’s Hit and Run, and multiple socials. Swimming is what brought him to The Club, but “I’ve fallen back in love with tennis…I’ve met so many great people through tennis at The Club” he adds that the atmosphere is fun and relaxing, “everyone is having a great time while staying active.” Now the family even gets family time by taking advantage of our Unlimited Ball Machine program! Everyone hangs out and practices their tennis.

Both Ethan and Aliya are active members of The Club, too. Aliya is a student in Young Stars where she is learning the fundamentals of tennis while having a blast. In the Summer, she loves attending Kids Kamp. Ethan’s tennis game has taken off! He is now able to have long rallies with a record of 124 shots in a row with the orange ball. Last month, Ethan played his first USTA tennis tournament! “I was so impressed with his sportsmanship, he smiled after every match. Even though he didn’t win them all, he wants to play more,” Jeremy added, “Ethan wants to go to camp and play a tournament every day.

Jeremy and Rachel came to The Club for a party, and certainly the life of the “after party.” They are setting an incredible example to Ethan and Aliya about being active and trying new things. They usually visit the Club four to six times per week, “Somebody is at the Club every day” explains Rachel and adds “Over time the Club is a place we can grow into, through the coming phases of our lives. Jeremy explains that taking part in The Club’s activities “we need the exercise time for our own health and well being.”

Rachel, Jeremy, Ethan, and Aliya– Thank you for adding so much to our family at Aspen Hill Club. Your family is an integral part of our community and are so happy that we are part of your family’s lives. We’ll see you guys on the court soon!
