Junior Fitness Programs and Classes in Silver Spring, MD
"The Aspen Hill Club's Junior fitness mission is to make physical activity and fitness accessible and engaging for our younger members. Our programs are full of energy, enthusiasm and encouragement where your child will learn to love exercise for today and for the future. I am working closely with our team to continuously develop fitness programs which teach the fundamentals, progress in complexity appropriate to each age group, engage their minds and provide tons of fun. We look forward to playing a role in your child's physical fitness."
Establishing the basics. This class covers ball handling, shooting, passing and guarding. Weekly evaluations on dribbling techniques and shooting drills will be done. Coach Craig has been a head coach for many years in Basketball, Volleyball and Track & Field and loves working with young athletes. He has extensive experience in speed, conditioning and strength training for athletes of all levels.
Individual lessons available on request.
We have a kids' hoop available for children ages 8 & under. We ask parents to please refrain from shooting on the hoop with their children and stress that dunking is not allowed.

Teen Fit Corps

Start 'em early. This 30-minute sport conditioning and body weight workout is perfect for your young athlete, future fitness buff or beginner exerciser. The class will emphasize hard work and teach proper setup and execution of many body weight exercises like lunges, squats, push ups and planks.
Kids Fitness Certification
Kids ages 8-13 can earn fitness center privileges by becoming fitness certified. They learn rules and regulations, safe and proper use of the cardiovascular equipment and once certified can use the fitness center on their own.
Note: When the 30-minute limit on cardio equipment is in effect kids will be limited to 10-minute workouts.
Certifications are held by appointment only.
Junior Tennis Programs
The Aspen Hill Club also offers a year round junior tennis program ideal for kids 4-18.
