BODYPUMP™ is a barbell workout for anyone looking to get lean, toned and fit – fast.
Using light to moderate weights with lots of repetition, BODYPUMP gives you a total body workout. It will burn up to 540 calories*. Instructors will coach you through the scientifically proven moves and techniques pumping out encouragement, motivation and great music – helping you achieve much more than on your own! You’ll leave the class feeling challenged and motivated, ready to come back for more. BODYPUMP is available as either a 55, 45 or 30-minute workout.
Adult Ballet/ Dance: Our adult dance classes are seasonal classes designed for beginner through advanced level dancers.
- Ballet: This is a classical Ballet Class and all levels are welcome. The Monday evening combo class is formatted for the beginning dancer.
- International Dance: The Monday Level 1 class will introduce dancers to basic steps. This class is ideal for the new dancer. Tuesdays/Thursdays Level 2 classes are for members with previous dance experience and/or an interest in performing.
- Wednesday Intermediate Dance Class: This class can be tailored to those able to attend. Basic choreography and dance technique are emphasized. Class will end June 13th and resume the first week of August.
Body Pump: The original barbell class. This hour-long class is divided into 8 muscle-group specific songs, plus a warm-up track and a cool-down track. All levels are welcome!
J-Fit Boot Camp: A 30-minute class designed to improve muscular endurance and strength incorporating corrective, core based and functional exercises. Participants will use a variety of exercise equipment (bands, hand weights, kettle bells) throughout the class.
Jump/Kick/Lift/Run and Step: It’s all in the name. An intermediate /advanced level class.
Quick Cardio: The Wednesday “Step and Lower body” class will have a new format. The new format will be 30-minutes “Quick Cardio” class; combining floor and step combinations, plyometric and running. Great warm up for Body Pump.
RAW! (Real Athletic Workout): 45-minute boot camp meets sports conditioning class. Drills include (but are not limited to) agility, balance, core, running and sprinting.
Friday Step and Dance: 45-minutes of Step and Zumba.
Saturday Step and Weights: 45-minutes of step and 15-minutes of resistance training.
Zumba®: Caribbean/ Latin influenced aerobic dance class. World Dance (former: ZUMBA Gold) Ideal for all fitness levels.
Group Exercise Class Weather Policy
Please note that we follow MCPS (Montgomery County Public Schools) as a guide for our inclement weather policy.
Morning Classes: If MCPS is delayed or cancelled we will NOT offer classes between the hours of 6:00am and 11:30am. We will do our best to begin our class offerings by 12:00pm. A decision regarding classes that are offered after 12:00pm will be made an hour prior to the start of each class. We ask that you contact our Reception Desk Staff for an updated class status prior to your arrival to the Club.
Evening Classes: If MCPS is delayed or cancelled in the morning and we have cancelled our morning group exercise classes, a decision about our evening class schedule will be made an hour prior to the start of each class. In the event MCPS has a weather related early dismissal, a decision will be made an hour prior to the start of each class. We ask that you contact our Reception Desk Staff for an updated class status prior to your arrival to the Club.
Weekend Classes: We do not use MCPS as a guide for our weekend group exercise class schedule. If we should experience a weather event during the weekend, a decision will be made an hour prior to the start of each class. Again, we encourage you to contact our Reception Desk Staff for updated class status prior to your arrival to the Club.
